Prom has finally come. As far as I can tell all has been successfull. I picked Kendal's tux up on Wednesday in Logan. Prom here is on a Thursday night. (School here is Mon. - Thurs.) Spring Break is next week, so many are leaving Friday to go palces. No one went to school at the High School today and the Middle School had half day ending with a BBQ. Aubrey thought that was so cool.
Around 11 am Kendal had brunch with all the guys. At 4:30 pm the Crump parents hosted a dinner at their home, the waiters were the full time missionaries. After the dinner the couples put on their fancy clothes and headed for Prom by 7:30 to be there in time for "Promenade"-- where each couple was announced and walked on a runway with the whole town watching from the bleachers. It was pretty cool. Sorry to say that a very high percentage of the girls dresses were not as modest as they should have been. Tradition after everyone is announced is, the first song of the dance is played and fathers can dance with their daughters or visa versa, pictures can be taken and then all family must leave. I was also sad to see quite a bit of "bear-hug" dancing going on with a lot of the couples. Boy, am I a stickler on keeping standards high!
